Betty A. Ford, LMSW
My name is Betty Frost. A native of North Texas, I am the mother of two amazing daughters. My oldest daughter works in the Emergency Department of Parkland hospital and is busy satisfying prerequisites for RN school.
My second daughter is an 11th-grade Pre-AP student planning to pursue a degree in Forensic Science.
We have two playful puppies that command our attention, Carlos a Shih Tzu, and Nylah a Maltese.
In 2008 I returned to school to complete a degree previously put on hold to raise my children. I have always had a passion for helping people and subscribe to Jesse Jackson’s philosophy: “You should never look down on anybody unless you’re helping them up.”
In college, I had the privilege of serving internships with the Children’s Advocacy Center, Wilson N. Jones Hospital, TMC-Behavioral Health Center, and Texoma Community Center-Substance Abuse Program, During this time, I logged numerous continuing education hours to stay abreast of new developments in the social work field.
My faith keeps me humble and willing to assist my neighbors with enjoying life to their fullest potential. Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, It’s about learning to dance in the rain!
