Born in Dallas and raised in the Sherman/Denison area, I returned home with my wife after retiring from the U.S. Air Force.
During my Air Force career, I served in administrative, operational and training positions where I helped others achieve their goals.
My dream has always been to build a business focused on helping people, which led me to establish Texoma Counseling Associates.
As a veteran and counselor, I have a particular interest in helping veterans, first responders, and adults experiencing trauma, PTSD, addiction, anxiety, grief, and major life transitions.
As I work to grow my business helping others, I take a real pleasure in being down-home friendly and plainspoken. While you may be experiencing a very stressful situation, I find most of my clients appreciate and benefit from a relaxed environment and open communication.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). I happen to be a disabled veteran and a Bible-believing Christian. While my faith in Christ and my family are the central part of my life, I’m confident my faith helps me treat others with care, compassion, and, above all else, without judgment. I enjoy working with people from various backgrounds and cultures. I look forward to meeting you.
Today I provide counseling services in Denison, Sherman, and throughout the Texoma region for adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, PTSD, addiction, and difficult life transitions. My approach is practical, respectful, and tailored to each individual's goals, values, and life experiences. I have worked with individuals from many different backgrounds, professions, and life experiences and strive to provide counseling that respects each person's unique values and goals.
