VETERANS & FIRST RESPONDERS
Counseling for Veterans and First Responders
Military service, law enforcement, firefighting, EMS, emergency communications, and other public service professions expose individuals to experiences most people never encounter. The skills required to perform those jobs successfully can sometimes create challenges at home, in relationships, or after retirement.
Many veterans and first responders struggle with stress, anxiety, anger, sleep problems, traumatic memories, relationship difficulties, or the challenge of transitioning into a different stage of life. As a retired U.S. Air Force veteran, having served in the military myself, I understand many of the cultural and life experiences veterans face both during service and after transition to civilian life. Counseling provides a confidential place to discuss concerns without judgment and develop practical strategies for moving forward.
